The most important thing to Bodhi (also referred to as "us"/"we") is that the user (also referred to as "you") has a great experience using the Bodhi Mobile Application (also referred to as "App" or "service").

If information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person it is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law.
Although we believe that meditation has benefits for people of all ages, we especially want to protect the privacy of the youngest among us. Therefore, we do not collect data from children under the age of 16. If we find out that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 16 without the consent of a parent/caretaker, we will remove that information as soon as possible. It is also possible to use your Facebook (FB) login credentials to create a Bodhi account. By using your FB account you give us permission to access and collect your (user-)name, mobile number and email address.
The information that is used by you to create an account is needed so that we can identify you as a user of the Bodhi App, send you notifications, and provide, update, maintain and protect our Service. This includes use of your information to support delivery of the Services under a Customer Agreement (such as usage of the App).

In addition, we sometimes send emails about new product features, promotional communications, or other news about Bodhi. These are marketing messages so you can control whether you receive them.
Bodhi also offers an in-app chat service (you can turn this on via the in-app settings) in order to give you a fast and simple way to communicate with us.
If and how Bodhi is allowed to collect/use/share your information is up to you. Please do note that most of the information that we request is necessary for the functioning and performance of our App. Not providing us with this information may result in dis- or malfunction of the App or, in some cases, no function of the App at all. As mentioned above, it is not possible to opt out of service-related emails/messages (such as account verification, changes/new features of the App, safety Information, purchase confirmations, invoices, and technical notices).
If you have opted-in for our newsletter it is possible that we will reach out to you by email. You can unsubscribe from our emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails that we send you.
We may use Push Notifications to keep you posted on received messages, as a meditation reminder, etc... You can refuse ‘push notifications’ in the account settings of your device.
After terminating or deactivating your Bodhi account, Bodhi may keep data (including your Profile Information) and User Content for 30 days, so if you decide within that period of time to re-activate your account, you can pick up where you left off.
If you want us to delete (right to be forgotten) your Account and your personal information, you can contact us at email@example.com. We will delete your information as soon as possible, except for the information that has to be archived/stored by law.
If you want to access, change, move, or erase (right to be forgotten) your personal data, or object to or limit our use of your personal data (including to the use of personal data for the purposes of ‘profiling’), you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we cannot honor your request, we will notify you within 14 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can submit an official complaint to the national data protection authorities of your country.
You can access and change your profile/account information by changing the Settings in the App or contacting us at email@example.com.
Through your account settings, you may access and, in some cases, edit or delete the following information that you have provided to us: name and password, email address, and information regarding payments.
We work with third-party services ("Service Providers" such as Intercom) that help us in providing optimal service to you. Our Service Providers will only (get) access (to) your data as is necessary within reason to provide the service, while respecting a reasonable level of confidentiality.
We will not rent or sell your personal data to external parties (third parties other than Bodhi or our service providers as stated in this policy) without your permission.
We do not disclose personal information to companies that host advertisements (on our behalf), but we may provide them with generic information about our users. For example, we can inform them that a thousand women under the age of 35 have clicked on a specific advertisement in the period of a certain time frame.
Our Service Providers are obligated not to disclose or use your personal information for any other purpose than performing services on our behalf.
If we—in good faith—believe that the law obliges us to store and share your data with officials (government and law enforcement) or private parties who enforce and comply with the law, we will do so.
Information may also be opened, stored, and shared in case we believe it to be necessary or appropriate for the protection of ourselves, you, and others, as well as for the detection, prevention, and handling of fraud and other illegal activities, or to protect our property, rights, and safety.
The information that we collect from you due to your use of our App, is considered to be a business asset. If we sell or otherwise transfer Bodhi or our assets to another organization (for example, as part of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or liquidation), some or all of our assets (including your information, such as your name and email address, User Content, and any other Data collected through the Service) may be disclosed or transferred to a third-party buyer or acquirer in connection with the transaction.
The data collected about you through the use of the App may be stored and processed on secured servers of our Service Providers in the Netherlands or the USA (Privacy Shield).
After you delete/remove your Bodhi Account, we will keep your information for 30 days. Information we receive and/or collect can be used, processed, and stored for a longer period of time if the information is subject to a legal request or obligation, governmental inquiry or investigation regarding possible violations of our terms or our policy, or to prevent damage of any kind. For instance, when you have made an in-App purchase, we have to keep your information for seven years according to Dutch tax law.
In order to keep your information safe, it is your responsibility to use a unique/strong password that you use to verify your identity before accessing your account. We strongly advise you not to share your password with anyone, and that you change your password frequently. It is at all times your responsibility to secure the email traffic between you and Bodhi. Changes to your social media services that are connected to the Bodhi App may affect your privacy settings. We are not responsible for the functionality, privacy, or security measures of any other organization than Bodhi.
Bodhi takes reasonable precautions in order to protect the information that we collect from you, and that you provide us with via the App. Do note that no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information is 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee an absolute security of any information. If at some point in time your information is compromised (for instance, because of hacking or a leak) we will notify you as soon as possible and take any further necessary steps.
